KZSB — AM1290, the News-Press radio station — will broadcast tonight’s football game when Bishop Diego High School hosts Oaks Christian High School.

The games will also air on AM1290KZSB.com.

The broadcast will begin at 6:45 p.m.

There is no Santa Barbara City College football game this Saturday. The Vaqueros will be back in action Oct. 15 at home for their American Pacific League opener against Los Angeles Pierce College. That day’s broadcast will start at 12:45 p.m. on KZSB.

The weather has cooled down this week, with highs Wednesday in the low to mid-70s along the coast. As expected, things were a bit hotter inland, with a high of 91 in Santa Ynez. The National Weather Service forecast calls for warmer temperatures today, with highs in the upper 70s along the coast. Lompoc is expected to have a high of 73. The weather service said the weather will remain hot in Santa Ynez, with a high of 88.

SANTA BARBARA — UkraineFest will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in front of The Granada, 1214 State St.

The free Santa Barbara program will feature cultural displays and tables, with a dance performance by members of the Ukrainian Art Center of Southern California at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Bandura player Siuzanna Iglidan will perform at 6 and 7 p.m. 

A “welcome” talk is set for 6:15 p.m.

The festival precedes DakhaBrakha, a Ukrainian folk quartet that is performing at 8 p.m. Thursday at The Granada.
