Anti-Terrorism Day was observed on Western Railway where Prakash Butani – General Manager (In-Charge) of Western Railway administered the anti-terrorism day pledge to the Principal Heads of Departments, officers, and staff at Western Railway’s Headquarters, Churchgate.
Butani administered the pledge to solemnly affirm to oppose with strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. The pledge also induced to uphold and promote peace, social harmony, and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values and have abiding faith in the country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance.
Bharat Electronics Ltd's net profit for the March quarter stood at Rs 11.42 bln. The net profit rose 95.7% and total revenue was up 71.2%. The company's other income rose to 637.7 mln rupees from 571.7 mln rupees a year ago. In Jan-Mar, total expenditure, including finance cost, was at 48.62 bln rupees compared with 50.35 bln rupees a year ago. Finance cost declined to 40.5 mln rupees from 55.5 mln rupees a year ago. The tax outgo for the March quarter was at 3.85 bln rupees as against 5.78 bln rupees a year ago.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), which had postponed state engineering services exam-2021 scheduled for May 22 after Madhya Pradesh High Court directed the Commission to permit other state candidates to sit in the exam and make adequate amendment in its website for them to fill application forms, has announced a new date for the examination.
“The exam will be held in OMR sheet in offline mode on July 3,” a public note issued by MPPSC says. The exam will be held in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
The MPPSC said that candidates will start getting information related to the exam 10 days in advance.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A shopkeeper cheated another shopkeeper and took away Rs 40 lakh, under Piplani police station, police said on Wednesday.
Police station in-charge Ajay Nair told the media that victim Rajkamal Agarwal and accused Pradeep Agarwal own a shop in the same market of BHEL.
Pradeep offered to sell his shop to Rajkamal for an amount of Rs 40 lakh during the pandemic. The amount was transferred in the account of Pradeep in various instalments. The responsibility of Pradeep was to transfer the shop in the name of Rajkamal. But because of Coronavirus official documentation work was hampered.
Now when Coronavirus restrictions are lifted, Rajkamal asks to transfer the shop in his name. First Pradeep made several excuses and later he fled closing his shop.
Police have registered a case under section 420,406 of the IPC and have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
Bhopal: Affiliation between Mahar Regiment and INS Kolkata solemnised
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Satna police have arrested six persons who were allegedly involved in damaging the statue of the former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, police said on Wednesday. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has raised objection to the incident.
On Tuesday, a video went viral on social media in which some youths were seen damaging the statue. Allegedly, the youths are members of the anti-addiction campaign, but they are drug addicts.
Superintendent of police (SP) Ashutosh Gupta through his tweet, stated that the Kotwali police station has registered the case under section 143,144,146,147,148,149,427 and 153-A of the IPC and have arrested six accused of the case.
Ex-CM Nath tweeted and stated “the incident is unfortunate and I demand from the government to investigate the case and take strict action into the matter. I also demand to secure the statue”.
Bhopal: MPHRC summons Satna collector over non-redressal of complaints
