KARACHI: Five people were killed while several others were injured as a van caught fire near Confucius Institute at University of Karachi, ARY News reported.
According to initial reports, the van caught after after an explosion near the Confucius Institute- a non-profit institute teaching Chinese language to local pupils- leaving a number of passengers, mostly Chinsese nationals injured.
Police say at least five people have been killed in the incident and several others were injured in the explosion. The law enforcement agency is yet to determine the nature of the explosion.
The van was carrying Chinese nationals from their residence inside Karachi University premises to Confucius Institute.
RAWALPINDI: The Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said on Saturday that the intelligence agencies are working efficiently against the threats and conspiracies, ARY News reported.
The armed forces have aimed to foil any kind of conspiracy and defend the country from the security threats. Babar Iftikhar said that the armed forces will never let the conspiracy against Pakistan successful.
He said that the intelligence agencies and other military institutions are on vigilant and working efficiently against the threats and conspiracies.
