Unexploded missiles struck a residential area of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, on Friday, February 25, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) and Ukrainian officials. Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, said on Telegram that Russian forces had fired several rockets, at least one of which landed unexploded in the “Horse Market” area of Kharkiv, near Ukraine’s National Guard Academy. This footage from RFE/RL correspondent Maryan Kushnir shows unexploded ordnance in the area. Members of Ukraine’s Civil Defense are shown at the scene preparing to remove the rocket from the roadway. Kushnir had earlier captured footage of destroyed Russian military equipment, including missile launchers, outside Kharkiv. Other videos circulated online showed another unexploded rocket sticking out of a pedestrian crossing, and damage caused to buildings in the area as a result of the assault.
