The election is a ‘choice’ with consequences, it’s not ‘reality television’: Scott Morrison
Prime Minister Scott Morrison questioned why the Australian public should have Anthony Albanese run the budget if Kevin Rudd and Julia Gilliard didn’t trust Anthony Albanese to sit on the budget committee for six years. “Done four budgets as a Prime Minister, three budgets as a Treasurer, and an additional budget as a member of the expenditure review committee,” Mr Morrison told Sky News host Paul Murray. “Now, my opponent, Anthony Albanese, he was in government for six years, and he wasn’t even on the expenditure review committee for anything more than just six weeks, right at the end with Kevin Rudd. “This election is a choice, it’s not a referendum, it’s a choice and choices have consequences, and it’s not like deciding who should be voted off the island on Survivor or something like that; it’s not a reality television show.” He said the candidate Australians vote for at the ballot box determines the economy the nation will live in for the next few years. Mr Morrison also explained how he delivered as the Prime Minister after being elected three years ago. “A vote for Labor means weaker leadership; it means weak leadership, which means a weak economy, which means they lose.”
