The ABC’s The Drum was quick to cover bullying allegations levelled against Prime Minister Scott Morrison – yet on the same show it was "almost as if" the Kimberley Kitching story never happened, says Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton. Mr Houghton said there has been “another week and another series of bullying allegations”. It comes as outgoing Liberal Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells recently launched a scathing attack on Mr Morrison – accusing him of being a “bully,” while also declaring he was “not fit to be Prime Minister”. Mr Houghton said host of The Drum, Julia Baird, had sprung “to life” in covering this allegation against Mr Morrison. “Imagine the glee inside the ABC newsroom when this story broke,” he said. Mr Houghton compared the coverage shown on The Drum relating to the recent passing of Labor Senator Kimberley Kitching and the subsequent allegations of bullying levelled against her colleagues, Penny Wong, Kristina Keneally and Katy Gallagher. “We scoured through every episode of The Drum since the Kimberley Kitching story broke and it is almost as if it never happened,” Mr Houghton said. “On March 21, the day of Kimberley's funeral, The Drum host Julia Baird didn't even have a segment on it. “For an organisation always preaching diversity, its content is painfully predicable.” Senators Wong, Gallagher and Keneally have all said that they do not agree with the allegations.
