Mandsaur: Congress expels 7 rebels for 6 years

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): State Congress Committee on Monday expelled seven party workers for six years who were contesting as rebel candidates in the district panchayat elections against Mandsaur Congress candidates. Aggrieved for not getting tickets for the Mandsaur seat, they fought the election as independent candidates.

Now the party is suffering heavy losses due to such workers. Therefore to discipline them, district Congress president Navkrishna Patil took the step under the guidance of city block Congress president Mohammad Hanif Sheikh.

Regarding this, women candidates along with their husbands were also asked to leave the party for six years, belonging to various wards of Mandsaur municipality. Notably, every political party took such action during the time of elections. But it gets back on track as time passes by.

Those who were expelled include Nargis Liaquat Nilgar and her husband Liaquat Nilgar from Ward No 30, Kesar Chudelia from Ward No 24, Madhubala Anil Masania and her husband Anil Masania and lastly Mamta Parmanand Chauhan along with her husband Parmanand Chauhan from Ward No 20. They were alleged to have contested the election, even after several reminders by the party to withdraw their nomination fell on deaf ears.
