EVMs' second randomisation completed in Khargone

Khargone (Madhya Pradesh): The second randomisation of electronic voting machines was completed on Tuesday under the direction of district election officer Kumar Purushottam. The process of randomisation was conducted in the presence of all the candidates. It was completely secured with State Election Commission software and servers.

The district information and science officer, Rajendra Patidar, who is looking after randomisation, apprised the candidates about the entire process. He said, for the second phase EVMs will be allotted booth-wise. In the process, 99 ballot units (BU) and the same number of control units (CU) were reserved and randomised. Along with this, 240 BUs and 232 CUs of 122 polling stations in 33 wards of the city were also reserved.

The collector informed that candidates are free to participate in any social programme but they must mandatorily follow the code of conduct. During randomisation, Deputy District Election Officer KK Malviya, EVM incharge and executive engineer of RES Jagdish Panwar and Ujjainkar and many others were also present.

Similarly, 109 CU and the same number of BU have been allotted for 47 polling stations in 18 wards of Sanawad civic body and 99 CUs and 100 BUs have been allotted for 34 polling stations in 18 wards of Barwah municipal council.
