Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication has extended date for the admissions test for entry in courses run by the university by one month, said the university official.

The decision to postpone admission test has been taken after several trains have been cancelled in view of protests against Centre’s Agniveer scheme.

The admission test will now take place on July 24 while the forms for admissions can be submitted till July 17, said university official. The admission test has been cancelled for the second time, he added.

The admission test for the journalism university will be held after two years. For past two years, no admission tests were held due to corona.

“Students in large numbers come to appear in admission test from across the country. With trains being cancelled, we don’t want deserving students to suffer,” said registrar of university Avinash Vajpayee.

The last date to submit admission forms has been extended till July 17. The date for admission test could be reconsidered if railway department does not change its decision, he added.

Making an amendment in the admission process, the university has cancelled its interview part. Admission will be given on basis of written test.
