B.com emerged as a student favorite in Mumbai University's pre-admissions
Mumbai: From June 9 to June 25, 2022, the University of Mumbai hosted an online pre-admission registration period for students seeking admission in the first year of undergraduate courses in affiliated colleges. Students have submitted applications for a range of courses across numerous academic fields. Commerce and Management saw maximum applications amounting to 3 lakh and 84 thousand.
B.com remained the most sought after course followed by BMS(Management Studies). BA saw 47 thousand applications whereas BSc attracted 35 thousand applications.
A total of 2 lakh 41 thousand 921 students registered online prior to admission. These students have applied to 6 lakh 45 thousand 228 different courses. The next admission procedure will proceed as specified in the schedule following the release of the merit list in accordance with the pre-admission online registration schedule.
The MU's first merit list 2022 will be made public on June 29 in accordance with Mumbai University's schedule. Concerns have also been voiced by a students and their parents regarding Mumbai University's decision to continue the pre admission process without waiting for the CBSE and ISC board results.
