After protesting at the main gate, the PTI workers suddenly stormed the building and broke the main to enter the building while raising slogans against the opposition and turncoats.

Islamabad police started arresting the PTI workers who broke into Sindh House. Two Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) who came with the PTI protestors were also arrested by the police.

The law and order situation was brought under control after the timely action of Islamabad police who have cleared the Sindh House premises from the protestors.

Sheikh Rasheed

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, while talking to ARY News, condemned the action of PTI workers and said that he has ordered police to arrest the PTI workers and MNAs who stormed Sindh House.

He said that nobody would be allowed to violate the law and disturb the peace situation.

Asad Umar

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar ordered PTI workers to immediately return from Sindh House and vacate the premises. He directed PTI workers to be part of any illegal activity as the political party believes in the supremacy of law.

Sharjeel Memon

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon said in a press conference that they consider the attack on the Sindh House as an attack on the Sindh province.

Memon criticised that the government assets have been attacked by the PTI workers while Islamabad police officials became the silent spectators in the tense situation. The lives of PPP MNAs came in danger due to PTI workers’ attack if they were not stopped by the Sindh police officials, he added.

Earlier in the day, three former prime ministers claimed that the PTI government is planning to abduct its dissident MNAs from the Sindh House with the help of Islamabad police and administration.

In a letter jointly endorsed by former premiers, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Raja Parvez Ashraf and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, they said Prime Minister Imran Khan and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed will be responsible for any police action inside the Sindh House.
